这句话出自《论语•公治长》,最早是孔子呵斥学生宰予的。孔子发现宰予白天在课堂上睡觉,怒斥其“木不可雕也”。后人常用来批评一个人无可救药、难堪大用,也有恨铁不成钢之意。
