After all, we created an entry for this word in 2018! And just now, I found some examples of usage from 2017 in Google Books. Unfortunately, Baidu Baike doesn't show us what the 2000 version of its article says. I don't want to rely on just the fact that there was an article -- I want to see actual usage from 2000 before I revise the date down to that year ... even though I accept that it *may* be true. Bottom line is that "neologism c. ****" means "the word was coined no later than **** (and we can find examples of usage from the year ****)" Let us know if you find earlier usage. |
