Rather, we are trying to be concise. Other potential glosses include "helpful", "conducive" and "opportune" etc., but from our point of view, they are superfluous because they make the definition longer without changing the basic meaning. Note, however, that we do have the following entry 有利于 /to be advantageous to; to be beneficial for/ ... which supplements the glosses in the entry for 有利, and matches the phrase in your example (有利于健康). |
