<< review queue entry 71609 >> Zdic: https://www.zdic.net/hans/%E3%9A%93 康熙:【字彙】力攺切,來上聲。小船梢木。 【正字通】俗字。 ---------------------------------- Editor: Too many uncertainties. Is it a *part* of a boat (as "tie-beam" suggests) or a *material* (as "wood" suggests)? Or both? What is a "boat's tip"? I'm not aware that "tip" is standard terminology for part of a boat. Do you mean the bow? Or do you mean the front and rear extremities? (as in "the length overall measures a boat from tip to tip") What is a boat's "tie-beam"? Tie-beams are used in architecture, but I didn't find references to tie-beams in boatbuilding (although I can guess what they might be). You have submitted lǎi, but your Zdic reference says lái. In addition, I haven't found any examples of usage of this character. |
