Editor: No, "insulation" is correct.
It's the first sense of "insulation" listed in Merriam-Webster:

1: material used in insulating
2a: the state of being insulated
2b: the action of insulating

We also have entries that indicate that 隔熱材料 means "insulating material".
隔熱 = insulating (material, effect etc)
