Interestingly it states that these different pronunciations carry different meanings. I have looked at several dictionaries but I am not sure I have really understood what that difference is! So this proposal isn't necessarily correct. In any case it seems to be clear the cc-cedict needs an additional entry for jiao1 xue2. Editor: well, what GF is saying is that 教學 is a (intransitive) verb. Which is news to me. I can find things like 你所在的学校开始线上教学了吗？ 作为教师，你开始线上教学了吗？ 又要线上教学了 but (your head will explode) here 教学 is not a verb: the whole expression 线上教学 (remote teaching) is used as a verb However I also find this 教师50多岁真不适合教学了？50多岁正是教师教学的鼎盛时期呢！ which sounds good. I'm not sure that people would necessarily pronounce jiao1xue2 though. I think "instruction" (in the limited sense of teaching) is a better word than "education" |
