But in your quote, and in your reference, it's 推脱 (tuītuō), not 推说 (tuīshuō). Our definition of 推脱 (tuītuō) is "to evade; to shirk", so we already have "to evade". As for "to get out of something (through talking)", that seems to be intended as a definition for 推说 (tuīshuō). But I think that "to claim as an excuse" is fine as a definition for 推说 (tuīshuō), and certainly better than "to get out of something (through talking)". |
