There weren't many examples of the limit/confine sense. Here's one I found. 寄人籬下的淒苦童年,養成她沉默自封的個性; "Her difficult childhood led her to shut herself off from the world." I think "isolate oneself" can replace "confine oneself to". "isolate oneself" is a gloss in Dr.eye, K, PLC & ABC. |
