<< review queue entry 67321 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> 1. K embarrasses itself by copying this flawed entry verbatim. 2. "flustered and confused in a panic"? Nobody says "confused in a panic". Google it. All the top hits derive from this entry. 3. It's rare to use an expression like "tear at a gun" and I don't really know what it's supposed to mean. Anyway, is that a correct translation of 扯炮? Or was it just a guess? 炮 means cannon actually, not gun. What does it mean to "tear at a cannon"? 扯 can mean "pull; tug; drag". So does 丢轮扯炮 actually mean "lose the wheel of the cannon and then have to drag it along"? I don't know, but at least that image makes some sense, whereas "lose a wheel, tear at the gun" sounds like gibberish. Let's refrain from giving literal meanings if we are just guessing. |
