v.o. 〈wr[itten].〉 weep in silence
weep in silence
| swallow one’s tears; weep silent tears
动 眼泪流到了嘴里。表示流泪很多, 极度悲伤
And till this day, sometimes I cry.
No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.
I too cry at this parting, but it is necessary.
I will share your tears but I will not ask you not to cry.
Two years ago on Women's Day, several hundred wives, mothers and grandmothers left their homes and their kitchens to take to the streets.
They carried with them a revised copy of the Family Law provisions of the civil code which they delivered to the Legislative Yuan.
They were rejecting having their praises sung yet again as "all-sacrificing model women," and instead were representing the rights and interests of "three million injured Taiwanese women crying in the dark."
Once deeply devoted and sworn to love for all time, these men abandoned their old loves to gain social status. As for these women, loyal to their vows and tearfully heartbroken, how else could they take revenge except by becoming ghosts?
