If they did, they would be a laughing stock. They use pseudonyms like 任仲平, which is a homonym for 人重评, an abbr. of 人民日报重要评论. 2) DIGNITARIES I think "dignitaries" is not bad, but I think "those who hold power in the PRC" may be an improvement because - "dignitary" implies that these people deserve respect, and - the current def doesn't make it clear that 赵家人 cannot be used to refer to dignitaries of the Qing era, for example. 3) NEOLOGISM I think it's worth noting that this is not a well-established term. |
