Editor: My understanding is that
1. 凝集素 certainly does mean "agglutinin" (It's in various dictionaries.)
2. "lectin" is one specific type of agglutinin*, sometimes referred to as 外源凝集素.

* E. Britannica, for example, says "Plant agglutinins are called lectins."
