This is all wrong:
- "rhyming part of a syllable", i.e. the rhyme is "韻", composed of nucleus+coda.
The "rhyme tail" is the "coda" (also meaning "tail").
- "medial" (which isn't a vowel) refers to the part between the consonantal onset and the rhyme, i.e. /j/, /w/, /y/ in Chinese (qia, chua, lüe)

I think "coda" is enough of a definition, but if we add more, it would be something like "part of the syllable that follows the vocalic nucleus".
Diff:
- 韻尾 韵尾 [yun4 wei3] /the rhyming part of a syllable/in a Chinese syllable, the medial vowel plus final consonant (if any)/
# + 韻尾 韵尾 [yun4 wei3] /(linguistics) coda/
+ 韻尾 韵尾 [yun4 wei3] /(phonology) coda, the part of a syllable that follows its vocalic nucleus (e.g. "u" in kòu or "n" in běn)/
