<< review queue entry 64110 - submitted by 'polaris' >> 1、公款浪費入罪條件已成熟 From http://cpc.people.com.cn/pinglun/BIG5/n/2013/1219/c78779-23884139.html 2、權色交易有愈演愈烈之勢 性賄賂入罪是大勢所趨 From http://politics.people.com.cn/BIG5/1026/6580424.html 3、浙江细化枪支量刑标准提高入罪门槛 From https://www.thepaper.cn/newsDetail_forward_2695712 -------------------------------------- Editor: I've had another look at this. In your examples, it doesn't mean "to convict (sb of a crime)". For example, in the 2nd article you quoted from, it says 在性賄賂泛濫的社會現實之下,將其入罪具有必要性和迫切性, 其入罪 here doesn't mean "convict sb". It means "classify it (i.e. 性賄賂) as a crime". In the 1st article, it says 關於公款浪費行為該不該入罪一直是輿論討論的熱點, Here again, 入罪 doesn't mean "to convict". They are talking about whether or not 公款浪費 should be a crime. They aren't discussing whether or not to convict somebody. Also, consider this dictionary definition of 入罪: 法律上指把某種行為規定為犯罪行為,須依法受到刑罰。 https://www.moedict.tw/~%E5%85%A5%E7%BD%AA It says that 入罪 means "to rule that some behavior is criminal behavior, requiring punishment according to the law". In the examples above, 入罪 takes some sort of *behavior* (e.g. 公款浪費) as its grammatical object, not a *person*. If you have other examples where the meaning is "convict (sb of a crime)", please put in another submission with those examples. As a general rule, it would be helpful if you could check whether the definition you submit matches the usage in the examples you provide. |
