"fu4 qin5" is maybe the more common pronunciation. ABC dictionary has it like that, for example.
-------------------

Editor: Maybe, or maybe not, but we looked at it before, and it's not the sort of issue I want to put much effort into investigating further.

Quoting from our comments the last time somebody asked us to consider changing it:
"fùqīn is the pronunciation given in various dictionaries including Xiandai Hanyu Guifan Cidian, Liang'an Cidian, and Collins Mandarin Chinese Dictionary.
Also, you can hear both fùqīn and fùqin in the sentences at the following webpage:
http://chinesepod.com/tools/glossary/entry/%E7%88%B6%E4%BA%B2
(Click the "play" buttons.)
I think it's qīn in four out of the first six sentences."
Diff:

# + 父親 父亲 [fu4 qin5] /father/also pr. [fu4 qin1]/CL:個|个[ge4]/
