Perhaps 倒藪 exists and is correct, but having 倒藪 and not having 盜藪 is a bit suspect anyway. For instance, 盜藪 is defined as "強盜賊匪聚集的地方。" in moedict ( https://www.moedict.tw/%E7%9B%9C%E8%97%AA ) But there is no 倒藪 at moedict. Where did 倒藪 come from? Does this term really exist? --------------------------- Editor: 盗薮 is in Pleco's PLC, which means it's quite likely to have appeared in some edition or other of ACE ("A Chinese-English Dictionary", first published in 1978). The definition in Pleco/ACE(?) is "bandits' (or robbers') den". This entry, like many others in ACE, was almost certainly copied by ABC (the wording of the definition is almost identical to ACE's) except that they wrote the first character 盜 incorrectly as 倒. So ABC has 倒藪[-薮] dàosǒu n. 〈wr.〉 bandits'/robbers' den That incorrect ABC entry was then copied by a former CC-CEDICT editor into CC-CEDICT. Thanks for spotting the error. |
