I don’t know if this story will be new to you, or if you already know all about it, please bear with my bit of history here…

The first words I looked up with your software were “Falun Gong.”

As a practitioner of Falun Gong, of course I’m aware that this is a Buddhist practice that teaches self-improvement through the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

For seventeen years now, as this practice has been spreading across the globe, Falun Gong has been heavily persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (who once accepted this practice as beneficial for all…until it became incredibly popular and they changed their tune on it). During all this time, practitioners and other supporters have been calling for an end to the persecution which sees practitioners jailed, tortured, and in very large numbers - killed for the sale of their organs by the State itself.

My own character has certainly improved through practice and I continue to strive to be better as a person.

Your definition of Falun Gong, or Falun Dafa, states that the PRC refers to this practice as a “cult.” Unfortunately, this definition plays right along with the CCP’s intention of persecuting and defaming Falun Gong, something that practitioners world-wide are peacefully fighting against. The definition serves to further the CCP’s uncalled for propaganda.

May I respectfully suggest this definition as found at www.falundafa.org

“Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) is an advanced self-cultivation practice of the Buddha School.”

You could also find more information at http://www.faluninfo.net/

I’m quite sure you meant no ill by this definition! Thank you for taking the time to read my note and I wish you the best with your work.

All the best,
Erik

Editor: I wouldn't want to mention "the Buddha School" in the definition. Seems like a more obscure term than the one that's being defined.

> "this definition plays right along with the CCP"
I don't think people would automatically assume the CCP's view is correct.
