MW defines "suck in" as
1. dupe, hoodwink
2. to contract, flatten, and tighten (the abdomen) especially by inhaling deeply
(Of course, it can also mean to draw a liquid etc into one's body)

Not saying "suck in" is wrong but "suck on (sth)" is unambiguous and also more apt for cases like
「嬰兒吸吮手指頭」
这个小孩还吸吮拇指
他用舌尖轻弹她坚硬的阴核,然后吸吮和猛舔,直到她浑身战栗,他知道她的高潮到来了。
Diff:
- 吸吮 吸吮 [xi1 shun3] /to suck in/
+ 吸吮 吸吮 [xi1 shun3] /to suck on (sth)/to suck in/
