<< review queue entry 50686 - submitted by 'ghast' >> According to my 新華字典 and the online dictionary 國語辭典, 據 and 据 are actually two different traditional characters, but are merged in simplified chinese. In traditional chinese, 据 is used to form the word 拮据, which happens to be the same in traditional and simplified, but only because 据 remains unchanged in simplified. So 据 is not 據 in this word, and "拮據" does not exist.
