<< review queue entry 43510 - submitted by 'ghast' >> Baidu's baike here (http://baike.baidu.com/view/972543.htm) defines 馬騾 and suggests "mule" as english translation, it is also the term used in the chinese wikipedia entry corresponding to the english article for "mule" (see here: https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%A9%AC%E9%AA%A1). The term 騾子 seems to be more general than 馬騾 and 驢騾 which are clearly differentiated (see my recently added entry for 驢騾), as this paragraph explains: "骡子是一种动物，有雌雄之分，但是没有生育的能力，它是马和驴交配产下的后代，分为驴骡和马骡。" (from baidu baike's entry for 騾子, here:http://baike.baidu.com/view/78245.htm), according to that, 馬騾 and 驢騾 are the two types of 騾子. The article for 驢騾 at baidu baike also explains the difference. |
