ABC mentions it explicitly for this word. Looking at my corpus, roughly half the uses of 了断 are about suicide (usually clear from 自己/自我):
但我不会等着让他杀死,我将自我了断,我要画出一幅登峰造极的杰作,用我的生命。
我喜欢我现在就是这样,随它去糟看能糟到什么地步,最好糟到我有感觉,有力气可以了断自己。
与其让他们屠杀,不如我自己了断。
为了不落敌人的手中,毛准备自己了断。

Editor: This issue was discussed when the entry was written ~

And I agree that 了断 itself doesn't mean "commit suicide" -- it needs to combine with another word such as 自己 or 自我 to mean that.
Note that we have an entry 自行了断 [zi4 xing2 liao3 duan4] /to take one's life/
ABC may mention suicide but other dicts don't.

However, I think we can deal with it in the entry for 了断 by including this gloss: "to do away with (oneself)".

In the last edit, Yves replied: "not a noun, doesn't need caps, and certainly doesn't mean bathroom."

But there are plenty of examples where it is clearly used as a noun, including many where I can't quite think what else it could mean, other than "bathroom".

"不带通风窗的卫浴必须安装排风扇;"
"那么,如何装修卫浴?"
(etc, too many occurrences of the word as a noun in the article)
----------------------------------------

Editor: True. I suppose it became a noun in the same way "weekly" came to mean "a weekly newspaper or periodical".
i.e. by a process of (possibly gradual) abbreviation, like this
衛浴空間 --> 衛浴間 --> 衛浴

You can still use the longer forms of the word:
a) 每個樓層都有數間衛浴間、洗衣與曬衣的空間、

b) 衛浴空間再小都得有女性愛用的泡澡浴缸,
The bathrooms, though small, all have tubs.

Similarly, "vanity cabinet" or "vanity unit" is now usually just "a vanity".

1) change one's tune
醫生都說是女孩,臨產前又改口說是男孩,
the doctor always said the child was a girl; but after a scan shortly before she gave birth he changed his mind and said it was a boy.

結果這次靈姑看了她的生辰竟改口斷言,「沒有,妳這一生沒有姻緣,
On looking at her birth date and time, the medium changed her tune, this time averring, "No, you aren't fated to marry in this life.

- 随又觉得话太说的残酷了,又改口安慰地说
- 不管怎样,我就是这样说了,而且也不会改口。

2) change the way one addresses sb
- 苏小姐忽然改口,不叫“方先生”而叫“鸿渐”
- 「叫慣了伯母,改口叫媽媽,還真不習慣」
- "married in US, wedding in China - LG's parents give me Jewerry and Gai Kou Fei (call them baba mama)"

1) bing1 --> bing3

3) I didn't find any examples of 天上掉餡餅 in TP, but I found these related snippets:

「這真是天上掉下來的一塊肉!」
"This is like manna from heaven!"

東西是不會平白從天上掉到我們手裡,
there is nothing that simply falls from the sky. One must fight for everything.

突然間竄紅,彎彎覺得一切彷彿天上掉下來的禮物,
She feels that her sudden fame is like a gift that fell from the sky,

Freddy認為,機會不會從天上掉下來,
Freddy believes that opportunity won't just fall from the sky

這彷彿是天上掉下來的五一大禮。
the subsidies are like a May Day gift from heaven for Taiwan's working people.

可見免簽絕非天上掉下來的禮物。

幸福很簡單,但不是理所當然,更不能坐等天上掉下來,只有身體力行,努力經營,才能再造屬於自己的幸福家庭。
Happiness isn’t difficult to achieve, but neither is it a given. You can’t sit around waiting for heaven to bestow it on you. If you want a happy home, you have to work at it.

這無疑是天上掉下來的好機會,
an opportunity that had fallen from heaven

因而有了一個天上掉下來的題材。
The stay in the US essentially handed her the subject matter on a plate.

你先别把话说死,姑姑道,认真考虑一下。
千万不能说死
etc
Of course it's one of the meanings of 死, but I feel it could deserve an entry (and Pleco has it)

Editor:
TP ~ 人人自有一套占卜理論,卻都不敢把話說死,因為就算是老阿里山人,對明天的日出依舊沒有十足把握。
Everyone has their tricks for forecasting the viewing conditions, but no one is willing to make a 100% commitment, because even old-timers of Alishan can't be 100% confident of seeing the sunrise the next day.

ABC汉英谚语词典 ~
话不要说死, 路不要走绝。
(lit) Don't say anything absolutely [and] don't walk too far.
(fig) In saying or doing anything, one should allow for unseen circumstances. Never “paint yourself into a corner”; always leave yourself some room to maneuver.
