Seems the traditional form was wrong
---------------------------------

Editor:
Describing the correct usage of 份 and 分 is far from straightforward, even if we restrict our attention to cases where these characters are pronounced fèn (rather than fēn).

Suffice to say that in this expression "kàn zài ... de fèn shàng", fèn can be written with *either* character in both trad and simp text. Note that we have an entry that states that 份[fèn] and 分[fèn] are variants (although that's a simplification of the relationship, since they aren't entirely interchangeable):
份 份 [fen4] /classifier for gifts, newspaper, magazine, papers, reports, contracts etc/variant of 分[fen]/

However, from what I can see, 份 is more commonly used for "kàn zài ... de fèn shàng" in both trad and simp texts. So I will change the simp form in this entry to 份.

As for 份子[fènzǐ] and 分子[fènzǐ], both forms are used in trad texts, but in simplified Chinese, dictionaries say 分子 is correct, and that's reflected in actual usage as well: 分子 is much more common than 份子 in simplified texts.
Diff:
# - 看在 看在 [kan4 zai4] /(in the expression 看在 ... 的份上|看在 ... 的分上) for the sake of .../considering .../
# + 看在 看在 [kan4 zai4] /(in the expression 看在…的分上) for the sake of .../considering .../

I'm not sure if there is a standard way to include the ellipsis in the meaning, but without the spaces is much easier to parse.
-----------------------------

Editor: I am changing the three ASCII dots "..." to a single Unicode character “…” (U+2026), as discussed.

I am also changing
看在...的份上|看在...的分上
to
看在...的份上
Both forms are acceptable, apparently, but 看在...的份上 appears to be more common in both trad and simp texts.

鍛煉 seems to be more common
-------------------------------

Editor: I can't compare your data with mine, because you haven't provided any.
Here are mine:
1) 鍛鍊 appears in the following two dictionaries that specialize in traditional forms:
https://www.moedict.tw/%E9%8D%9B%E9%8D%8A
https://www.moedict.tw/~%E9%8D%9B%E9%8D%8A
Neither dictionary has an entry for 鍛煉.

2) In a collection of 3200+ articles from Taiwan Panorama magazine, there are around 80 instances of 鍛鍊.
There are zero instances of 鍛煉.

3) Using Google Verbatim, I get the following results
"鍛鍊" - 456,000
"鍛煉" - 402,000

Summary: These data suggest 鍛鍊 is more common than 鍛煉.

This seems to be the only example where 不得 is not given bu5 de5 pronunciation

And the pronunciation of 由不得 on Forvo has a 4th tone for 不.
https://forvo.com/word/%E7%94%B1%E4%B8%8D%E5%BE%97/#zh

Listening to audio on the web, I hear lots of people saying [bu4 de2], lots of people saying [bu5 de5], and possibly some saying other tone combinations.
Here's an example of [bu4 de2]

> If we change "bu2" to "bu4" as you propose, users may justifiably think that the 4-4 tone sandhi rule (mentioned above) doesn't apply (since [bu4 shi5] is 4-5, not 4-4), and therefore may assume that the 不 really is 4th tone.

A fair point (and thank you for your review), but whichever way you do it the user will be confused. "Why is this the only time 不 is not bu4?", "I thought tone-sandhi was not included in pronunciations". "Is this really tone-sandhi outside the normal laws of 不 tone-sandhi or something else entirely?". Many questions, and I think ABC's bu2shi5 with the dot (well spotted, I thought it was dirt on my screen!) is the most concise representation. Now, since such notation is not supported by CC-CEDICT, it might be worth considering explicitly explaining this in the definition?

Related words:

百不咋 (bu4 za5): in the sense of 不 followed by 5th tone. So if this is correct (i.e. 4th tone actually used) then yes this strengthens your argument to use (in above entry) bu2 shi5, but I still think an explanation would be useful.
赔不是 (pei2 bu2 shi5): no problems here (consistent with 不是 bu2 shi5)
由不得 (you2 bu4 de5): perhaps this should be bu5 de5? (I've submitted a correction separately)

I have to say I find it very confusing as a language-learner. The pinyin is either the theoretical pronunciation (pre-tone sandhi) or the actual pronunciation. So while I understand the reasons for using the pre-tone sandhi (theoretical) pronunciation, what we actually have is more of a mixture, and that's confusing. /rant

Editor: I see where you're coming from, but I prefer the current (more concise) definition.
The note you suggest adding to the definition says pretty much what the pinyin already says: [bu2 shi5].

Admittedly I'm guessing here, but I think the first syllable should be 4th tone, not 2nd tone.
-----------------------------

Editor:
Well, you need better evidence than just guesswork :-)

1) 不是 is in Wenlin/ABC as 不是 bụ̀shi n. fault; blame
The dot under the "u" (in the pinyin) indicates tone sandhi (change from 4th tone to 2nd).
Wenlin documentation says "tone sandhi is indicated in Wenlin with additional marks (a dot or line below the vowel)".
Similarly, ABC has 赔不是[賠--] péi bụ̀shi v.o. apologize

2) Wiktionary gives the pronunciation of 不是 as bùshì, and tone sandhi rules say that a 4th tone before a 4th tone becomes a 2nd tone (the 4-4 rule).
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E4%B8%8D%E6%98%AF
So Wiktionary agrees that 不 is pronounced with 2nd tone.

3) And here is a snippet of audio for the expression 赔不是 (which is derived from 不是 meaning "fault").
https://forvo.com/search/%E8%B5%94%E4%B8%8D%E6%98%AF/
You can hear the 2nd tone on the 不.

Anyway, in all three sources, the 不 is pronounced with a 2nd tone.

If we change "bu2" to "bu4" as you propose, users may justifiably think that the 4-4 tone sandhi rule (mentioned above) doesn't apply (since [bu4 shi5] is 4-5, not 4-4), and therefore may assume that the 不 really is 4th tone.

http://zelda.gamepedia.com/The_Legend_of_Zelda_(Game)#Nomenclature

Editor:
It's pretty borderline for us to accept an entry for a character in a game (especially when it's spelled different ways in different places).
Note:
1) Since it's a name, it should start with a capital S.
2) 薩爾達 is the name used in ROC, HK & Macau, according to your link, whereas 塞尔达 is used in the PRC. I.e., it's needs two entries, not one.
3) 塞尔达 is not the simplified form of 薩爾達.
4) 塞尔达 is pronounced [Sai4 er3 da2], not [Sa4 er3 da2] (see the popup pinyin in the referenced webpage).
Diff:
# 薩爾達 塞尔达 [sa4 er3 da2] /Zelda (in Legend of Zelda video game)/
