doesn't need an seperate entry for 血 xie3
add pinyin xue3, actually this is used by most people
-----------------------

Editor: The pronunciation [xue3] is not listed in GF, NA, LA, or various other modern dictionaries. However, it is recorded in a number of other sources:

ABC: 血 xuě n. 〈coll.〉 blood

Y. R. Chao lists sheue (xuě) alongside shiee (xiě) and shiueh (xuè) in his dictionary, and indicates sheue in compounds such as 血浆 and 输血 in his "Mandarin Primer".

Fred Fangyu Wang, "Mandarin Chinese Dictionary":
XIĚ 血 or XUĚ 血 (N) blood

Wiktionary lists xiě, xuè, and xuě.

The Chinese Ministry of Education's 2016 draft revision of the pronunciation standard 普通话异读词审音表(修订稿) even proposed xuě as the standard reading.
Official announcement and draft:
https://www.moe.gov.cn/jyb_xxgk/s5743/s5744/A19/201606/t20160606_248272.html
(This was a draft released for public consultation, not a formally adopted standard.)

Also, in his 2026 paper 普通话异读词读音的社会语言学调查分析, Shi Feng (石锋) reports survey findings showing that, across four common expressions (血压, 心血, 贫血 and 吐血), xue3 was the most frequently used pronunciation of 血 (44.70%), followed by xue4 (33.12%) and xie3 (22.18%).

Given this evidence, I think there is a good case for restoring [xue3], which was included in cc-cedict from 2008 until its removal in 2013.
Diff:
- 血 血 [[xie3]] /see 血[xue4]/
# 血 血 [[xie3]] /see 血[xue4]/
