I couldn't find it … don't know how to spell or define it, but maybe there should be an entry? ---------------------- Editor: There are a great many expressions of the form X + 之 + N, e.g. 成功之道、失败之因、危险之地、无用之物、可怜之人. You can basically regard 之 here as a literary equivalent of 的, with X modifying N: "success path", "failure cause", "danger place", "useless thing", "pitiful person" -- and in your example, "difference point" (point of difference). Such expressions are mostly not included in dictionaries, presumably because there are so many possible combinations and their meanings are generally quite transparent. |
