In fact, the source linked above says that 崇明東灘自然保護區 is 位於「崇明島東端的崇明東灘」, distinguishing the reserve from the place where it is located. The source also uses 灘塗 for the actual tidal flats. So I don't think /mudflat nature reserve on Chongming Island, Shanghai/ is a meaning of 東灘. |
