"Wetland" isn't primarily a freshwater term: wetlands can be freshwater, brackish or saltwater. A mudflat is a particular type of wetland, not the saltwater equivalent of one. GF likewise defines 湿地 as including 滩地、沼泽、滩涂 etc bordering 江河湖海. I think /wetland/ is sufficient. |
