One other way you could help us with the backlog is by being fairly selective about additions like this. 翻斗 is certainly a valid word, but it's a fairly specialised one that's already covered in dictionaries such as 现代汉语词典, and the exact definition you provided is already in PLC, which is freely available to everyone who has Pleco. We can easily generate thousands of candidates like this ourselves by comparing CEDICT with other dictionaries (for example, our LA file). Your effort is more valuable when you spot a useful, reasonably common word that CEDICT surprisingly lacks. So while the queue is so long, it would be helpful if you could focus on omissions that seem particularly useful or significant, rather than simply words found in other dictionaries but not in CEDICT. |
