If it is, this should be the edit instead: 叚 假 [[jia3]] /to borrow (variant of 假[jia3])/ -------------------- Editor: The *latter* interpretation was intended. 《說文》：叚，借也。 《康熙》：【說文】借也。【集韻】或作𠭊，通作假。 In v1, either interpretation was possible. In v2, we use parentheses -- "(variant of X)" -- to indicate that the variant relationship applies only to the sense being defined, rather than implying that the entire definition of X should be substituted. |
