("geocentric" on its own is ambiguous - it can mean "having or relating to the earth as center", contrasted with "heliocentric") * * * "earth's core" is 地核, and my sense is that 地心 is a looser, less technical term. Wikipedia redirects 地心 to 地核, but that does not necessarily mean the two are synonymous.
