After brief research, it appears that this term is also used in Mainland simplified chinese, thus I didn't include the [Tw] tag in the definition. ----------------- Editor: Depending on the context, 擁有者 could equally well be rendered as "possessor". I feel that a neater approach is to expand the definition of 擁有 to include "to own". The meaning of 擁有者 would then be readily derived from our existing definitions: 擁有: to have; to possess; to own 者: (after a verb) one who ... While we do include some established X者 compounds, there are countless productive 者 formations. |
