I stumbled upon this entry by accident and the English translation sounded like as if it could be a more polite version of 老人 but LLM said it "often carries a colloquial or slightly critical nuance." I was thinking maybe I could add this nuance… not sure if that is really the case though. I thought I will suggest anyways and leave it up to your good judgment.

Editor: The expression can sometimes sound humorous, self-deprecating, or mildly disparaging depending on context, but I don't think "(slightly critical)" is an inherent nuance warranting a label here.
