But the character 鳐 is used outside of this family, such as in 电鳐 "electric ray" (https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E7%94%B5%E9%B3%90/1131316). Also, everyday people seem to use 鳐鱼 somewhat inconsistent with taxonomy.
