I'm unsure if it functions as an adjective /precious/extremely valuable/ but if it does, it's quite rare.

From here: https://pedia.cloud.edu.tw/Entry/Detail?title=%E7%8F%8D%E9%87%8D

珍愛重視。
【例】年輕人應該珍重時光,才能開創美好的前程。
珍惜保重。多用作道別的客套語。
【例】臨別時,兩人依依不捨的互道珍重。

So the first definition above (a verb meaning "to treasure") is missing. Examples:

- 我很珍重在这样一个肃穆的场合,有机会代表协办单位和罗工柳先生的母校致辞。 https://www.caa.edu.cn/info/3812/12912.htm

- 党员干部要珍重这福气、追求这福气、守护这福气,以“有骨气”、“接地气”、“冒傻气”,来交换托举百姓之福的最大福气。 http://www.china.com.cn/opinion2020/2022-02/24/content_78069748.shtml

- 这是数年困顿后第一次自由的返乡之旅,返乡客们因此十分珍重这次春节团聚。 https://finance.sina.cn/2024-02-25/detail-inakhmqw8193231.d.html
