<< review queue entry 85364 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> I'm proposing two broad bound-form senses relating to cognition (意义, 本意, 字意, 原意, 立意) and feelings / mental states (有意, 无意, 乐意, 怯意, 敌意, 醉意, 睡意) respectively, plus a bound-form Italy sense. 意大利 is a proper noun and therefore takes capitalized pinyin, but 意 in this sense is a bound morpheme. It is not used as a free noun, let alone a proper noun, so it belongs under [yi4], not [Yi4]. |

- 意 意 [yi4] /idea/meaning/thought/to think/wish/desire/intention/to expect/to anticipate/ + 意 意 [[yi4]] /(bound form) idea; thought; meaning; sense/(bound form) intention; feeling; inclination; state of mind/(bound form) Italy (abbr. for 意大利[Yi4da4li4])/ - 意 意 [Yi4] /Italy; Italian (abbr. for 意大利[Yi4 da4 li4])/ |
