While 7-Eleven remains the official brand name and does not display "统一" on store signage, the stores are nonetheless referred to in Taiwanese usage as 統一超商 (and sometimes abbreviated in context). For example: 在台北城中區上班的張先生，去年端午節興沖沖地訂購了五星級大飯店的養生名粽，要送給在三峽的阿嬤嚐鮮，早上10點把粽子送到辦公室附近的統一超商，晚上就接到阿嬤開心稱讚的電話，讓他發覺「盡一份孝心」原來只是舉手之勞； In general, it's common for the name of a company operating multiple retail outlets to be used metonymically to refer to an individual store. * * * While 統一 and 統一超 are used as abbreviated forms in context (see examples below), I am replacing those entries with a single entry for 統一超商.
