We just want to exclude "father's brother" (which is 堂 of course) We use "via female line" but AFAIK that's not idiomatic English. A Google search for that term only has 3,000 results and they are all from websites that copy CC-CEDICT. And I don't think that would include "father's sister" or "mother's brother" since there's a male in the line from you to your cousin. |
