Grain stalk
---------------------

Editor: The comment section is for explaining the basis for a proposed change, not simply restating the wording you want inserted.

As far as I can tell, 禾 does not mean "grain stalk". In both modern and classical usage, 禾 denotes a grain plant (cereal crop) as a whole, not specifically the stalk.

For example:
> 稻禾 refers to the rice plant, not just its stalk.
Ex. 一如扎根台灣土地、汲取養分,生生不息的台東池上稻禾

> 禾苗 means a young grain seedling; again 禾 here refers to the plant:
像看到田地乾旱禾苗萎頓的農夫 -- "like a farmer watching his fields dry out and his seedlings wither."
Diff:
- 禾 禾 [he2] /cereal/grain/
# + 禾 禾 [[he2]] /grain stalk/cereal/grain/

+ 禾 禾 [[he2]] /(bound form) grain plant; cereal crop/
