It's generally better if you can gather multiple examples before submitting a new headword, especially if you can't find it in a dictionary. Most occurrences of 自度 that I can locate are actually 自度 in the Buddhist sense defined in HDC as > 谓济渡自身，超越苦难 (to deliver oneself; to attain self-liberation) e.g. 不只自度，更能度他，功德回向，冤亲债主得到超渡，自己也得到解脱。 (In this sense, it is indeed pronounced zìdù.) Given the limited evidence for the proposed non-Buddhist sense, I am not adding this entry for now. |
