OK, that's pedantic, but apart from that, I think it ticks enough boxes to be retained. E.g. - 渔船队 might be misread as "a team working on a fishing boat" (its crew), which would be incorrect. (汽车队 can refer to a team of people rather than a team of vehicles: 汽车运输公司下属的车辆管理及运输生产单位) - Even if it's correctly understood to be "a team of fishing boats", the idiomatic English equivalent may not spring to mind, even for a native speaker (expressions like "fishing boat team" or "fishing flotilla" miss the mark). |
