More to the point, "bury the dead" omits the key *retrieval* aspect -- 收尸 isn't really about *burial*. E.g. 26歲女模「全裸墜樓」身亡！富商遭逮捕 鄰居驚：有掙扎聲 Photo caption: 警方到現場收屍。 (The pixelated photo shows police carrying away the dead body. We can assume that the police don't *bury* her.) Other examples. 新生訓導處只編立十二個中隊，可是，有些隊員在綠島死亡，台灣本島沒人來收屍，就地埋葬在這裡的公墓，... 負責處理台北市松樹病害的台北市政府建設局科長黃瑞祥也說，砍除病樹的開支，比之其他工程，杯水車薪，「但這些錢花來收屍，並沒有解決問題。」 |
