heard it on a recent trip to Tw ;)

it seems to be borrowed Japanese 「ねこじた」(neko jita), but as per CG it's not only used in Tw but also in mainland?

我們都知道源自日文的「貓舌頭」,是形容不能吃燙的食物。貓咪舌頭確實不耐熱,因為貓咪最喜歡的食物溫度約 35°C 左右,約為獵物的體溫。另一個原因是,貓咪吃東西小口小口很謹慎的樣子,看起來怕燙,久而久之就有「貓舌頭」的說法了。
