Most of Merriam-Webster's noun examples reflect this meaning (粉笔). The 大白 sense, however, does not refer to writing chalk, nor to chalk in the geological sense. It specifically denotes chalk that has been ground and washed for use in whitewash -- i.e. whiting. LA's definition ~ 〈口〉粉刷墙壁用的白垩。 2) "shortend it reasonably" Reducing the note to "(from Baymax, 2021)" makes it cryptic. The connection only becomes clear if the reader knows that Baymax refers to the white inflatable robot from Disney's Big Hero 6 (2014), and that in the Chinese version the character's name is 大白.
