Other dicts suggest that the word has progressed from (方) to (口). DS ~ "筋道 is now widespread and standard. While it has strong roots in Northern Chinese dialects, its usage is understood and commonly used by Mandarin speakers across China and in overseas Chinese communities. It is not considered a purely regional or dialectal term in modern usage." |
