<< review queue entry 83950 - submitted by 'cboss2' >> - https://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/%E5%98%8C%E5%91%A4 G +"普林" 20,000,000 +"嘌呤" 3,800,000 --------------------------- Editor: The Google figures can't be directly compared since 普林 appears in many words, including transliterations of Pliny, Princeton, Springer, Sao Tome and Principe, and others. Additionally, AI says: "普林 is the dominant colloquial term in Taiwan, while 嘌呤 is recognized but reserved for scientific contexts or is identified as the Mainland Chinese usage." And that's consistent with what I see in my limited checking. For example, 普林 is in LA*, but not in my other dicts. * LA (兩岸詞典) 一種雜環有機化合物。無色結晶體,與嘧啶同為核酸的主要成分。也作「嘌呤」。(英purine) Ex. 許多人都知道臘味及煙燻製品容易致癌,煎年糕太油太甜又不好消化,瓜子、牛肉乾鹽分太高,一大鍋圍爐火鍋的普林(一種核蛋白,經過人體代謝後會產生尿酸)含量更高得足以當場引發痛風……, "Many people are aware that smoked meats and other cured foods are carcinogenic; sweet and greasy fried glutinous rice cakes are highly indigestible; melon seeds and beef jerky are far too salty; and a large hotpot contains enough purine to bring on an attack of gout." |
