It's a bit of a gray area, since 冷气 is also used to mean "air conditioning" outside Taiwan – mainland dictionaries include that sense. The difference is that 冷氣 is the everyday term in Taiwan, while on the mainland 空调 is the default. We don't have a precise rule for when the (Tw) label should be applied. In this case, I'm leaving it out. |
