Wp says

But I don't think that implies that 五河 is used in Chinese to refer to Punjab.

Searching for 五河 in Wp redirects to 五河县. There doesn't seem to be a disambiguation page that includes a link to an article on Punjab.

Both DS and CG say 五河 does not refer to Punjab.
E.g. DS says [partial quote]:
Punjab (from Persian: Panj + āb = "Five Waters") refers to the five tributaries of the Indus River (Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, Sutlej). While Punjab literally translates to "Five Rivers", this is never rendered as 五河 in Chinese.

五河 (Wǔhé) only refers to:
(Wǔhé County, Anhui, China).
Rare poetic uses for multi-river areas in China.
Punjab is always 旁遮普 in Chinese.
Diff:
[Wu3he2 Xian4]/Punjab, a province of Pakistan/
