That said, “other than” can be a valid translation of 除了 in some contexts. But the current set of glosses for 除了 seems sufficient. There's no need to include every possible English phrase that corresponds to 除了 — "other than", "aside from", "unless", "with the exception of" etc. — unless it adds clarity or value. |
