The above website shows pics of surface-mounted bolt-action locks that are described as 插锁. They are not "mortise locks" (locks fitted into the thickness of a door), although a mortise locks do use a bolt mechanism.

Wp ~ A mortise lock is a lock that requires a pocket—the mortise—to be cut into the edge of the door or piece of furniture into which the lock is to be fitted. Mortise lock describes only a method of fitting the lock, and says nothing about the quality or key mechanism.
Diff:
- 插鎖 插锁 [cha1 suo3] /mortise lock/
+ 插鎖 插锁 [[cha1suo3]] /bolt-action lock (sliding bolt mechanism, surface or mortise-mounted)/
