CG ~ 北马其顿 (Běi Mǎqídùn) is the Chinese term for North Macedonia, the country in Southeast Europe. It became the official name of the country after the Prespa Agreement in 2018, when the country formerly known as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) agreed to change its name to North Macedonia. This name change was part of a deal with Greece to resolve a long-standing dispute over the use of the term "Macedonia." The term 北马其顿 reflects this new official name and has been used since the country's name change in 2019. |
