I couldn't find this term in my Apple dictionary. Is there any good Chinese/Chinese dictionary that's free to use? ChatGPT can't find any. I guess they are all behind the Great Firewall of China?

The online edition of the "Revised Mandarin Chinese Dictionary" from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan R.O.C., gives this information: 參見「婐㛂」條。

There, the definition for 婐㛂 says: 婀娜。南朝梁.武帝〈江南弄.遊女〉曲:「氛氳蘭麝體芳滑,容色玉耀眉如月,珠佩婐㛂戲金闕。」唐.韓愈〈元和聖德〉詩:「日君月妃,煥赫婐㛂。」

I don't know how to write a good definition for 婐㛂, but feel that 婐 should be removed.

Editor: 婐 does mean "maid". In Grand Ricci, for example, it's defined in French as "servante", and 康熙字典 says "女侍也".

So while we might not be very interested in *adding* an archaic term like this, we already have it and it's apparently a valid definition, so we can keep it.

婐㛂 is apparently used in historical or literary contexts. Its meaning is something like "graceful" and is presumably derived from the "maid (young woman)" sense of 婐, but it's probably an archaic way of writing something that would be written 婀娜 nowadays.

You might like to try these:

两岸词典 (Cross-Straits Dictionary)

Zdic (actually a combination of several dictionaries at one website)
https://www.zdic.net/hant/%E5%A9%90
(They include 康熙字典 among their dictionaries, so they have the "maid" sense.)
Diff:
- 婐 婐 [wo3] /maid/

# Editor:
+ 婐 婐 [[wo3]] /(archaic) maid/
